The goals of the ASCE Seattle Section - Ports and Harbors Technical Committee are to integrate the diverse interests of the interdisciplinary professional community, to facilitate communication among the different fields concerning the state, utilization, and protection of waterways, ports, harbors, and estuarine areas, and to promote the advancement of the engineering profession through encouragement and recognition by meritorious achievement. ASCE Seattle P & H Committe achieves these goals through ongoing presentations, and seminars engaging diverse speakers and interested members.
The Seattle Section P&H membership includes engineers, students, consultants, government representatives, contractors and other professionals who share a link to the waterfront environment.
We welcome professionals of diverse backgrounds to join our meetings and participate. While it is not necessary to be an ASCE member to take part in our meetings or events, we encourage our members in the different disciplines of civil engineering to join ASCE.
